Job Brief and Accountability:

The Sales Support Associate is responsible for processing and facilitating quote requests from sales partners          (internal sales teams, customers, sales' agents) across the country.  The Sales Support Associate is a liaison between the Pricing, Orders and Sales teams and is responsible for verifying customer order requirements, cleansing order related data (ensuring it is accurate and complete), and preparing it for upload into the internal quoting system.  Developing and maintaining strong working relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external customers is critical to the successful execution of their duties and responsibilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain general knowledge of company products and services
  • As primary point of contact, respond to sales agent requests for quotes (RFQs) using sales quoting system as well as customer inquiries
  • Generate, edit, update, refresh and distribute quotes to sales teams, customers and agents
  • Monitor quote turnaround time commitments (dates/time) on RFQs to ensure timely delivery to customers and utilize the escalation process, when appropriate
  • Validate information received from sales, agents and customers prior to uploading into quoting tool, and correct, as needed
  • Investigate and respond to inter-department inquiries on orders
  • Establish, maintain and update files, database entries, and other working documents
  • Perform customer-facing backup duties for sales personnel, when needed
  • All other duties as assigned

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2-3 years in a fast paced sales support or customer service role or office work experience with customers, performing independent research, problem-solving, data entry, partnering with teams, using effective interpersonal /communication skills
  • Telecom industry helpful, not required

Qualifications: Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • General computer and typing skills
  • Proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint); Internet savvy
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel  
  • Proficient using databases; ability to learn complex  systems  (i.e., quoting system; orders system)
  • Must be able to listen and read well and be detail oriented with transactional work 
  • Possess sound numerical skills and excellent data entry skills, inputting data quickly and accurately
  • Superior phone etiquette and ability to deal well with customers and internal teams inquiries
  • Friendly customer service attitude, highly responsive, self-motivated
  • Proven good judgement, problem-solving skills
  • Superior organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong planning and time-management skills
  • Ability to analyze and accurately reconcile data discrepancies
  • Self-starter, takes initiative and keeps commitments
  • Highly effective customer relationship skills
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, stay calm and work well under pressure, and maintain professionalism and quality of work
  • Exhibit good team and cross-functional relationships
  • Conduct self professionally and ethically

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a professional office environment
